Impilo Laxative 200ml

Description

Impilo laxative 200ml is for the relief of occasional constipation. The mixture is dark brown with a peppermint taste and is suitable for adults and children over 12 years.

Directions for use:
Adults and children 12 years and over: Take 4 medicine measures (20 ml) as a single dose dissolved in a glass of warm water.

Each 5ML contains:

• Sodium sulphate anhydrous – 220,36 mg
• equivalent to Sodium sulphate 10 H2O 500,00 mg
• Ethyl alcohol – 4,75 % v/v
• Preservative: Chloroform Spirit 5,00 % v/v

Warnings and special precautions:

• Not to be used in the presence of abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting.
• If sudden change in bowel habits is noticed, that persists over a period of two weeks, consult a doctor before using a laxative.
• This product should not be used for a period longer than one week, unless directed by a doctor.
• Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use may indicate a serious condition. Discontinue use and consult a doctor.
• Frequent or prolonged use of this preparation may result in dependence on laxatives and loss of normal bowel function.
• Sodium excess may be caused by inadequate fluid intake, extreme fluid losses, excessive administration of sodium, impaired renal function and aldosteronism.
• Retention of sodium leads to accumulation of extracellular fluid which may affect the cerebral, pulmonary or peripheral circulations.
• If you are on a low salt diet, have kidney disease, or suffer from high blood pressure, do not use this product except under supervision of a doctor.

Side effects:
With very large amounts, hypernatremia may develop with the following symptoms:
Restlessness, muscular weakness, thirst, reduced salivation and lachrimation, dizziness, headache, sweating, fever, hypotension, increased rate of heartbeat and respiratory arrest.
