Vitality Super Cal Mag Tabs 100s is a HIGH ABSORPTION CALCIUM & MAGNESIUM SUPPLEMENT

Calcium is an abundant mineral found in the body and needs constant replenishment to maintain healthy bones and teeth.  Magnesium is important in the production and transfer of energy, in muscle contraction and relaxation, in nerve conduction and protein synthesis.  Magnesium is primarily an intracellular nutrient.

Calcium Lactate  200 mg

Magnesium Carbonate  100 mg

Preservatives:

Methyl paraben  0.29 % m/m

Propyl paraben  0.29 % m/m

Available in 100’s Adults:  Take 2 to 6 tablets daily with a glass of water after food, or ad directed by your healthcare professional. WARNINGS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:

Vitality® Super Cal-Mag should generally be avoided in patients with renal calculi or a history of renal calculi. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment or diseases associated with hypercalcaemia. Special care must be taken when administering Vitality® Super Cal-Mag with other medicines including thiazide diuretics and Vitamin D that increase plasma concentrations of calcium and may result in hypercalcaemia. (Refer to Interactions).

INTERACTIONS:

Vitality® Super Cal-Mag can reduce the absorption of a number of medicines such as tetracyclines, bisphosphonates, fluoride and some fluoroquinolones. Doses should be separated by at least 3 hours. Vitality® Super Cal-Mag may enhance the effects of cardiac glycosides.   Vitamin D and thiazide diuretics increase plasma concentrations of calcium, with corticosteroids and bran decreasing calcium absorption. SIDE EFFECTS:

The following side effects may occur:

Gastrointestinal disorders

Frequency unknown: Gastrointestinal irritation, diarrhoea.

KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT:

An overdose may intensify the listed side effects and include nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, hypercalcaemia and hypermagnesaemia. Discontinue use and consult a doctor or other registered healthcare professional immediately.
